Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Regional Police, Police Commissioner Stefanus Satake Bayu Setianto S.I.K,.M.Si explained that the eradication would be carried out without discrimination regarding anyone behind him.
“Whether land based or online gambling, whatever form it takes, it continues to be fought against,” explained Satake, Sunday (10/9/2023) when met by the media.

“Therefore, it is implemented firmly and seriously in Central Java. Existing gambling activities will be eradicated, those that grow again will definitely be scorched by the earth.
Internally, Central Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi has given a strong warning to all main officials and Police Chiefs who dare to support all gambling.
The Central Java Regional Police and their ranks will be evaluated and even removed if they are found to be involved in gambling.
“What the Regional Police Chief conveyed directly, via WhatsApp or online, was to evaluate and remove the Police Chief or officials who were playing around with gambling,” Satake added.
Therefore, the public has no doubts about the commitment of the National Police, including the Central Java Regional Police, regarding the gambling problem.
The public is invited to provide input to the National Police regarding the eradication of gambling. And the public is asked to report if they know of gambling activities in their area.
The Central Java Regional Police and staff will follow up on every complaint and report from the public regarding gambling activities.
“It will be immediately cross-checked and followed up according to the law. Cooperation and an active role from the community in eradicating gambling is highly expected. The identities of members of the public who report will be protected. The Central Java Regional Police invites them to work together to complete this,” said Satake ending.
